New leadership duo

From January the 1st, 2024, Sabine Rittmeyer and Rubén Alvarez will take over the management of the marine insurance division in the underwriting department of Delvag Versicherungs-AG. They succeed Alexander Majer, who has left Delvag and persued a new challenge outside the Lufthansa Group.

In future, Rittmeyer and Alvarez will act as dual heads in "Shared Leadership".  In their new role they will be responsible for Marine Cargo, Transport Liability, Jewellers’ Block, CIT and other fields of marine insurance.

The leadership-tandem will report to Andreas Brügel, Delvag's Chief Underwriting Officer, who’s got welcoming words:

Sabine Rittmeyer has been working as a marine insurance expert at Delvag since 2001. She was primarily responsible for developing and establishing the area of cash and valuables transportation at Delvag. In the future, she will also be the main contact person for securities and reinsurance.

Rubén Alvarez has been with Delvag since 1995 and has almost thirty years of expertise and industry experience. In future, he will primarily be responsible for cargo cover for airlines and transport liability.
