With effect from 1 June 2024, Julia Gärtner will take over the management of the aviation insurance division at Delvag Versicherungs-AG in ‘Shared Leadership’. In future, she will work alongside Dennis Heinen, who has been Director Aviation Insurance since 2022, and together with him will form Delvag's new leadership tandem. 

In their capacity both report to Andreas Brügel, Chief Underwriting Officer of Delvag. Andreas is very satisfied with the chosen succession plan:

She will also certainly benefit from her broad experience in project management and from steering internal working groups. I am convinced that Dennis and Julia will form a very good tandem and I am already looking forward to working even more closely with them.’ 

Julia Gärtner takes over from Markus Schepke, who is taking on new tasks with a strong sales focus within Delvag’s Aviation Underwriting at his own request and is to drive forward the comprehensive hull-deductible business as well as new cooperation projects. 

Julia started her professional career at Delvag Group in 2011 and has already worked in various positions at Delvag and Albatros over the past twelve years. From her previous positions, she has gained extensive experience in product management at Albatros Personal Lines Broker, aviation claims management at Albatros Corporate Broker and her current role as a Senior Manager Group Risks & Specialities in Delvag’s Underwriting department. In this position, she was responsible for expanding and strengthening Delvag's captive role in the Lufthansa Group, among other things.
