Delvag publishes first sustainability report

Voluntary reporting based on VSME standard creates transparency for customers, business partners and employees

Press Release / 29.07.2026

Delvag Versicherungs-AG has published its first sustainability report for the 2025 financial year. Although Delvag is currently not subject to regulatory sustainability reporting obligations, the Group has deliberately chosen to report on a voluntary basis. The report brings together sustainability activities, key figures and objectives in one place and creates a reliable source of information for customers, business partners, employees and other stakeholders. The disclosures were subject to an external plausibility check by the German Sustainability Code (DNK).

Sustainability as an integral part of responsible business conduct

For the entire Delvag Group, sustainability is an integral part of responsible long-term corporate management. As a captive insurer (Delvag) and insurance broker (Albatros) within the Lufthansa Group, the Group sees itself as responsible for combining economic success with environmental and social considerations. With its Sustainability Report, Delvag aims to present its sustainability performance and objectives in a transparent, comprehensible, and comparable manner. The report is based on the VSME Standard, a European reporting framework for small and medium-sized enterprises and provides a structured overview of the Delvag Group’s sustainability commitment and activities.

Clear added value for stakeholders

At the same time, the report serves as a central and easily accessible source of information for customers, business partners and other stakeholders who increasingly require sustainability information as part of their business relationships, not least due to regulatory requirements such as the CSRD. It also facilitates the efficient handling of recurring sustainability inquiries and establishes a consistent information base across the value chain.
“For Delvag, sustainability is more than just compliance. We use the VSME report as a voluntary instrument to make responsibility, transparency and future viability visible. At the same time, we are creating a reliable information basis for customers and business partners. The external review under the German Sustainability Code underlines our ambition to document sustainability transparently and credibly,”
explains Tobias Winkler, Member of the Executive Board of Delvag Versicherungs-AG.

A sustainability profile of the Delvag Group

The sustainability report serves as a central sustainability profile of the Delvag Group. It brings together information on environmental, social and governance topics (ESG), such as the greenhouse gas inventory and social engagement, and shows how sustainability aspects are integrated into business processes and corporate management. In addition, the report provides transparency on measures already implemented, progress achieved and future areas for development. In doing so, Delvag is responding to the growing expectations of customers, business partners and other stakeholders for responsible and sustainable business practices.
