Insurance according to the lump-sum system
Aviation personal accident insurance insures
accidents that the insured parties suffer in causative connection with the operation of an aircraft
from boarding until the exiting of it. Accidents when boarding and alighting are deemed to be also
insured.
The seat-based personal accident insurance according to the lump-sum system is an aircraft-linked insurance, in which an all-inclusive sum insured is allocated to several seats and is apportioned to the insured parties in the insurance claim. Basically, the aviation personal accident insurance policy pays - irrespective of the air carrier's negligence - if there is an accident.
Important: Air carrier liability insurance only covers the liability of the air carrier.
