Air carrier Legal Liability Insurance
(passenger liability insurance)
Private pilots, clubsIf you convey people on board your aircraft, they may make claims for compensation against you as the air carrier in the event of a loss. In this regard, it is irrelevant whether a contract of carriage was concluded between you and the passenger or not. The insurance protection extends to the legal liability from the carriage or conveyance of people and objects that they carry or take with them as well as baggage and air cargo. The personal liability of all people involved in the management, operation or control of aircraft is included.

The insurance protection extends to the legal liability from the carriage or conveyance of people and objects that the passengers carry or take with them as well as baggage and air cargo. The personal liability of all people involved in the management, operation or control of aircraft is included.
As an owner or operator of high-value aircraft, air carrier liability insurance is generally not concluded as a separate insurance policy but as a cover module of the combined single-limit coverage. In doing so, your specific air carrier capacities (contracting and/or executing air carrier) and possibly charter agreements concluded are taken into account.
Liability claims that result from the use of the insured aircraft and the specified nature of use are not insured. Insurance protection is provided for this under third-party legal liability insurance.
